La Distesa

Working on a tradition of centuries of winemaking in the village of San Michele, La Distesa’s Corrado Dottori is not concerned with varietal grapes but rather with producing wines that express the characteristics of the soil and season. The expressiveness of his wines is something he owes to the strict biodynamic procedures his winery adheres to.

The Marche Bianco Terre Silvate contains grapes from two plots from two different villages: Cupramontana and San Paolo di Jesi. They are handpicked, fermented in stainless steel and cement and rest for five to six months before bottling. It is a dry wine with aromas of green apple and herbs, best enjoyed one or two years after vintage. The Gli Eremi comes from San Michele with the perfect warm climate for the vine to thrive and soil with a strong minerality. It is fermented in oak barrels for a year and has barnyard, sage and mint aromas with good acidity and freshness.
