La Maliosa
La Maliosa
La Maliosa, located in Maremma, Tuscany, produces ‘Metodo Corino’ natural wines, extra virgin olive oil, and honey on the 165 hectare farm. They are firmly committed to sustainability and intend their wines to accurately represent the interaction between vine variety, terroir and the human know-how. With this in mind, low-intervention management is carried out in the vineyards, with no use of additives, including sulphites or invasive technology in the cellar. Organic, vegan and CO2 emissions certified.
Currently available are La Maliosa Rosso, based on the Ciliegiolo grape variety, an intense ruby red wine with enticing cherry aromas, a balanced tannic structure and a long smooth finish. The other, La Maliosa Bianco, based on the Procanico grape variety, is the only ‘orange wine’ made from indigenous Tuscan grape. Made with lengthy skin macerations and natural yeasts, the wine has an aroma of curry leaf, cumin, linden honey, and lime zest with a tart finish.
